Are you getting the most out of your iPhone? While Apple devices are known for being user-friendly, there are tons of iPhone secret tricks no one talks about that can make your life easier, boost productivity, and add a little fun to your routine.

I’m always looking for helpful iPhone features and benefits. In this post I picked 4 hidden features I thought you’d love. From scanning text in seconds to scheduling messages and beyond, these tricks and hacks aren’t just cool; they’re actually super useful.

Four iPhone Secret Tricks

1. Schedule an iMessage For Later

Have you every wanted to message someone but for various reasons it wasn’t a good time. Well they have added a feature in iOS18 that allows you to schedule an iMessage. You might be saying, hey this is a iPhone secret trick no one told me about. Exactly! When I stumbled upon this I was like, wow, this is so cool. Sadly it doesn’t work with SMS Text messages, only when sending an iMessage to another iPhone user.

  1. Open new Message.
  2. Enter your text.
  3. Tap on the + sign next to the text you entered.
  4. Tap on Send Later.

  6. Tab the send button, your text is now scheduled.
  7. You can edit or delete the schedule by tapping on the date and time.

2. Hide Your Sensitive Photos

My second iPhone secret trick is the Photos Hidden folder. The camera roll has become somewhat of a storage locker for more than just our family pics. From taking a picture in the parking lot to help find your car, to keeping copies of important documents, we take pictures of anything and everything. If you’re like most people, you have pictures that are not for prying eyes. Well not to worry, there is a utility in your Photo App called Hidden. Once you move a photo to the Hidden folder, it can only be opened by using your Face or Touch ID. A truly hidden iPhone feature.

How to hide your sensitive photos.

  1. Open Photo App.
  2. Tap on the pic you want to hide.
  3. Tap the 3 dots button (…) in the upper right hand corner of the photo.
  4. Select Hide.
  5. You will be prompted to Hide Photo.
  6. To view your hidden photos, within the Photo App, scroll all the way to the bottom where you will see Utilities.

Note: When you hide the photo you will see a prompt that says: “This photo will be hidden, but can be found in the hidden album. You can choose to show or hide the Hidden album in Settings.” By default the hidden album is turned on. You can toggle the hidden album on or off by going to: Settings > Apps > Photos.

3. Screenshot an Entire Webpage

The next iPhone secret trick no one talks about is the ability to screenshot an entire webpage. Have you wanted to screenshot a webpage but the page gets cut off because it’s too long? This handy iPhone hidden feature is very cool. You can screenshot the entire webpage and save it as a PDF file to your iCloud folder on your phone. If you unsure how to save files to iCloud you may want to read my post, How To Make iCloud Work For You.

  1. Take a screenshot of your web page by holding the the volume up button and right side button at the same time.
  2. A minimized screenshot appears on your screen.

  4. Tap on the Full Page button on the right hand side above the screen shot.
  5. Tap on Done button in the left hand corner.
  6. Select, Save to PDF Files.
  7. Select a Folder to Save the PDF.

4. Capture Live Text Using Your Camera

The last of my iPhone secret tricks can save you a lot of key strokes. This hidden feature is called “Live Text”. Text on a computer screen or paper can be captured with your camera, which can then be copied, shared, locked up, or even translated. For example, you have a receipt and you need to provide a portion of the text to your spouse. You can scan the text using your iPhone camera and copy it right into a text or email message on your iPhone. You can use Live Text straight from your camera or directly within an app.

How to capture live text using your camera.

  1. Open your camera, focus on the text your want to capture.
  2. A highlighted box appears around any readable text.
  3. Tap the button with the 3 lines in lower right hand corner.
  4. The following options appear: Copy, Select All, Look Up, Translate or Share
  5. Choose one of the option depending on what you want to do.
